PDA is offering a live, virtual webinar for all members on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 7 – 9 PM.
Learn about “What You Don’t Know about Bleeding Disorders…But Need To”. This complimentary, live, virtual webinar will provide dental practitioners with basic knowledge of inherited bleeding disorders, such a hemophilia and von Willebrand Disease, and how to successfully treat patients with these disorders. The speaker is Dr. Rebecca Schaffer, a faculty member at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, where she provides care and teaches residents and dental students.
CE Requirements for License Renewal
To apply for license renewal, dentists, hygienists and EFDAs must complete at least 50 percent of required CE credits with in-person learning earned between April 1, 2021 and March 31, 2023. The State Board of Dentistry considers live, virtual CE webinars occurring in real time where participants can interact with the speaker as in-person learning. Recorded, non-interactive webinars count as self-study credits, and self-study credits are acceptable for 50 percent or less of the required CE credits.
- Under Act 31, dentists, hytienists and EFDAs must complete 2 hours of CE in child abuse recognition and reporting from an approved program provider. PDA has scheduled live, virtual courses on February 3 and March 8 to assist members and their staff who need to cmplete the Act 31 CE requirement.
- Dentists who have a DEA registration or use a DEA registration as allowed by law need two hours of CE in pain management, identification of addiction or the practice of prescribing or dispersing opioids to fulfill the Act 124 requirement. PDA will offer a live, virtual Act 124 CE course on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
