They’re Just Baby Teeth…Right? Unpacking the Pediatric Playbook.
Part 2
3 Credit Hours
If you’ve ever thought, “It’s just a kid… how hard can it be?” This course is for YOU!
While most general dentists and team members receive limited pediatric training, children still make up a significant part of everyday practice—sometimes happily, sometimes not. This high-energy course will unpack the pediatric playbook and provide practical, real-world strategies you can use immediately. From managing behavior to knowing when to treat, when to refer, and what tools actually make your life easier, this course focuses on the things dental school did not fully prepare you for. Topics will include non-invasive treatment options, restorative decision-making, trauma, pathology, airway, and tongue ties, along with the often overlooked keys to success: your team, communication, leadership and patient experience.
Learning Objectives:
- Implement practical behavior management techniques and systems to improve cooperation and reduce stress for both patients and providers.
- Incorporate non-invasive and minimally invasive treatment options, including SDF and sealants, into daily practice.
- Train and support team members to confidently manage pediatric patients.
