Dr. Patrick Donnelly was born in Scranton and grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania playing basketball, baseball, and fishing. He attended the University of Scranton as a pre-dental student, but during his studies learned he loved chemistry. After earning his Bachelor’s degree, he decided to attend Princeton University where he earned a PhD in chemistry. He then worked in New York City at the Hospital for Special Surgery as an NIH T32 post-doctoral fellow. Later, Dr. Donnelly earned a DMD from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Donnelly is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American Chemical Society. He is a board member for the Dental Society of Western Pennsylvania, and a member of the University of Scranton Medical Alumni Council.
